During my recent stay at Hotel Birkenhof Therme, I found it to be a hidden gem within a lovely spa village. The wellness centre was nothing short of spectacular, with both indoor and outdoor pools, plus a steam room that is perfect for winding down after a long day of exploring. The décor of my room struck a perfect balance of comfort and elegance, allowing for a restful retreat after my adventures. Each morning, we indulged in a delightful breakfast buffet, featuring regional Bavarian specialties - a treat for anyone wanting to experience authentic local flavors. Though I must advise that brushing up on some basic German might enhance your experience, as not all the staff are fluent in English. The added bonus of free daily access to the thermal baths was a highlight, making it a worthwhile retreat after a day spent hiking the stunning Rott Valley trails with my companions. To top it all off, there's a charming bar with a wood-panelled ceiling and open fireplace, ideal for sipping a quiet drink while unwinding from our day. For anyone looking for a peaceful escape in beautiful Bavaria, I wholeheartedly recommend this tranquil haven.
